ST公司的hvled007是低失真高压LED驱动器,是电流模式PFC控制器,特别适用于工作在转换模式(aka 准谐振操作)的隔离高功率因素反激转换器,目标用在室内和户外固态照明应用,它的工作温度低到-40℃还能保证电性能指标.HVLED007的主要特性是特别电路(输入电流正形器,ICS),使得高PF准谐振反激变换器能从动力线上提供理论上正弦输入电流,这不同于传统的控制方案.在满负载输入电流总失真(THD)低于10%,而在整个输入范围内30%负载时低于20%.HVLED007的保护特性,可处理过载,短路和过压等条件.图腾极输出级能处理600mA源电流和800mA沉电流,适合于大的MOSFET驱动,和其它特性一起,使得HVLED007是极好的低成本解决方案,兼容EN61000-3-2的开关电源(SMPS),功率高达100W.主要用在家用,商用和工业照明的AC/DC LED驱动器,街灯照明,以及EN61000-3-2兼而有之的开关电源(SMPS).本文介绍了HVLED007主要特性,框图和应用电路,以及35W演示板EVLHVLED007W35F主要特性,电路图,材料清单和PCB设计图.

The HVLED007 is a current-mode PFC controllerspecific for isolated high power factor, flybackconverters operated in transition mode (akaquasi-resonant operation). Targeting both indoorand outdoor solid-state lighting applications, itprovides extended temperature range operationdown to -40℃ with guaranteed electricalspecification.

The main feature of this IC is a special circuit(Input Current Shaper, ICS), that enables High-PFquasi-resonant flyback converters to draw atheoretically sinusoidal input current from thepower line, unlike the traditional control.

In practice, with little effort it is possible to achievea total distortion of the input current (THD) lowerthan 10% at full load and lower than 20% at 30%load over the entire input voltage range.

The IC is provided with a control input intendedfor being driven by the phototransistor of anoptocoupler to close a secondary-regulatedisolated control loop. However, with the additionof a simple external circuitry it can be used toclose a primary-regulated voltage loop as well.

The HVLED007 includes protection features tohandle overload, short-circuit and overvoltageconditions.

The totem-pole output stage, capable of 600 mAsource and 800 mA sink current, is suitable for bigMOSFET drives which, combined with the otherfeatures, makes the device an excellent low-costsolution for EN61000-3-2 compliant SMPS up to100 W.

35W演示板EVLHVLED007W35F

35W transition-mode flyback converter with ultra-low THD based on HVLED007 This application note describes the EVLHVLED007W35F demonstration board,based on the transition mode PFC controller dedicated to flyback topology, the HVLED007, and presents the main results of its bench evaluation.

The EVLHVLED007W35F supplies a stable and isolated 48 V voltage bus suitable for secondary side circuitry (e.g., LED current generators) for a total output power of 35 W when a wide range of input voltages is applied at its input. An auxiliary 12 V output is also present to supply small circuits which absorb a maximum current of 15 mA.

Thanks to an STMicroelectronics patented control embedded on the HVLED007, the main feature of this design is the very low input current distortion (THD) in a flyback converter operating in Transition mode (Quasi-Resonant).

Fast startup and protections with auto-restart are available for safe operation in lighting environments.
