The 6.6 kW Bi-Directional On-Board Charger (OBC) targetshigh-power-density, high-efficiency on-board chargerapplications and features Wolfspeeds new 650V C3M SiCMOSFETs. The C3M0060650D is a 60mΩ, 650V MOSFET inTO-247 package.
In this high density OBC, all SiC MOSFETs are mounted ona tooled AL heat sink, with all magnetics potted internally.
MOSFETs and magnetics meet thermal requirements ona 65C cooling plate. The system delivers 54W/in3 powerdensity and exceeding 96.5% in peak efficiency with 67kHzswitching frequency for CCM totem pole PFC and 150kHz-300kHz for a CLLC resonant converter.
