The LTC®5552 is a high performance, microwave doublebalanced passive mixer that can be used for frequencyupconversion or downconversion. The device is similarto the LTC5553, but with a broadband, differential DC to6GHz IF port. The LTC5552 is recommended for applicationswhere the IF frequency range extends below 500MHz.For applications where the IF frequency is always above500MHz, the LTC5553 is recommended, since it includesan integrated IF balun.

The mixer and integrated RF balun are optimized to coverthe 3GHz to 20GHz RF frequency range. The integrated LOamplifier is optimized for the 1GHz to 20GHz frequencyrange, requiring only 0dBm drive.The part delivers high IIP3 and P1dB, low LO leakage andhigh integration in a small package.
