The Cypress CYW4343W is a highly integrated single-chip solution and offers the lowest RBOM in the industry for wearables, Internetof Things (IoT) gateways, home automation, and a wide range of other portable devices. The chip includes a 2.4 GHz WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n MAC/baseband/radio and Bluetooth 4.1 support. In addition, it integrates a power amplifier (PA) that meets the outputpower requirements of most handheld systems, a low-noise amplifier (LNA) for best-in-class receiver sensitivity, and an internaltransmit/receive (iTR) RF switch, further reducing the overall solution cost and printed circuit board area.

The WLAN host interface supports SDIO v2.0 mode, providing a raw data transfer rate up to 200 Mbps when operating in 4-bit modeat a 50 MHz bus frequency. An independent, high-speed UART is provided for the Bluetooth host interface.Using advanced design techniques and process technology to reduce active and idle power, the CYW4343W is designed to address the needs of highly mobiledevices that require minimal power consumption and compact size. It includes a power management unit that simplifies the systempower topology and allows for operation directly from a rechargeable mobile platform battery while maximizing battery life.

The CYW4343W implements the world’s most advanced Enhanced Collaborative Coexistence algorithms and hardware mechanisms,allowing for an extremely collaborative WLAN and Bluetooth coexistence.

The Cypress CYW4343W provides the highest level of integration for a mobile or handheld wireless system, with integrated IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. It provides a small form-factorsolution with minimal external components to drive down cost for mass volumes and allows for handheld device flexibility in size, form, and function. The CYW4343W isdesigned to address the needs of highly mobile devices that require minimal power consumption and reliable operation.

The PSoC® 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit (CY8CKIT-062-WiFi-BT) is a low-cost hardware platform that enables design and debug of the PSoC 62 MCU and the Murata LBEE5KL1DX Module (CYW4343W WiFi + Bluetooth Combo Chip).
Thank you for your interest in the CY8CKIT-062-WiFi-BT PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit. The PSoC 6WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit enables you to evaluate and develop your applications using the PSoC 6 MCU.

The PSoC 6 MCU is Cypress’latest, ultra-low-power PSoC specifically designed for wearables andIoT products. It is a programmable embedded system-on-chip, integrating a 150-MHz Arm®Cortex®-M4 as the primary application processor, a 100-MHz CM0+ that supports low-poweroperations, up to 1 MB Flash and 288 KB SRAM, CapSense® touch-sensing, and programmableanalog and digital peripherals that allow higher flexibility, in-field tuning of the design, and fastertime-to-market.

The PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer board offers compatibility with Arduino™ shields. The board features aPSoC 6 MCU, a 512-Mb NOR flash, an onboard programmer/debugger (KitProg2), a 2.4-GHzWLAN and Bluetooth functionality module (CYW4343W), a USB Type-C power delivery system (EZPD™ CCG3), a five-segment CapSense slider, two CapSense buttons, one CapSense proximitysensing header, an RGB LED, two user LEDs, USB host and device features, and one push button.

The board supports operating voltages from 1.8 V to 3.3 V for the PSoC 6 MCU.
The CY8CKIT-062-WiFi-BT package includes a CY8CKIT-028-TFT Display Shield that contains a2.4-inch TFT display, a motion sensor, ambient light sensor, a 32-bit audio codec, and a PDMmicrophone.

This is the first kit that enables development of PSoC 6 MCU + WiFi applications. To develop aPSoC 6 MCU + WiFi application, WICED™ Studio 6.1 or later must be used. WICED Studio isCypress’integrated development environment (IDE) for developing WiFi applications. If you are notadding WiFi to your design then you can develop and debug PSoC 6 MCU project using PSoCCreator™. PSoC Creator supports exporting your designs to other third-party firmware developmenttools.
