The LTCR6432-15 is an ultra-high dynamic range differentialgain block amplifier designed to drive high resolution,high speed ADCs. It offers a full GHz of data bandwidth forcomplex spectrally efficient modulations schemes or whereresistance to blockers is critical. This unique device cansimultaneously achieve low noise, incomparable linearity and flat gain over the 100kHz to 1GHz band.

Unlike wideband GaAs PHEMTs, MESFETs and GaN FETs,this SiGe based amplifier exhibits low 1/f noise and canbe used down to 100kHz.

The LTC6432-15 is designed for ease of use requiring aminimum of support components. Impedance matching,temperature compensation and bias control are handledinternally to ensure consistent performance over environmentalchanges.

All A-Grade LTC6432-15 devices are tested and guaranteedfor OIP3 at 150MHz. The LTC6432-15 is housed ina 4mm × 4mm, 24L, QFN package with an exposed padfor thermal management and low inductance.For a single-ended 50Ω IF Gain Block with similar performance,see the related LTC6433-15.

演示板DC2496A

Demonstration circuit 2496A features the LTC6432-15differential ADC Driver/IF Amplifier. The LTC®6432-15 hasa fixed power gain of 15.9dB and works from 100kHzto 1400MHz. It is part of the high linearity LTC643X-YYamplifier series.

As a differential amplifier, the LTC6432-15 offers flat gainand impressive linearity from 100kHz to 1GHz using asingle output bias network. Since high fidelity differentialtest equipment is lacking, the DC2496A offers singleended inputs and outputs so that the LTC6432-15 performancemay be evaluated with standard test equipment.

The native LTC6432-15 has 100Ω differential source andload impedances, so the demo circuit uses 2:1 transformersto convert the differential input/output impedances to50Ω single-ended impedance.
